FAQ

How do I calculate the required pull force?

• On the Calculator tab, enter vehicle weight, winch rating, cable layers, terrain, mire depth, and incline.
  Tap Calculate to see required pull and any snatch-block recommendation.

Why are ads only on the Calculator tab?

• Limiting the banner to one spot keeps distractions down. Ads let us keep the app free and offline-first.

Can I use the app without an internet connection?

• Yes. All calculations and the Quick Reference guide work entirely offline.
  Only the ad banner needs connectivity.

Does it run on iPad?

• Fully supported on iPadOS 16 + in both portrait and landscape.

How do I reset my stored defaults?

• Open Settings, overwrite any default values, and they’ll auto-save.
  All saved data is removed if you uninstall the app.

Troubleshooting

1. Advertising banner not loading
   • Check your network connection or VPN.
   • Force-quit and relaunch the app.
2. “Enter numeric” error
   • Ensure the weight and winch fields contain only digits (no commas or letters).
3. App crashes on launch
   • Delete the app and reinstall.
   • If crashes persist, contact support.
